Challenge
A national HVAC distributor relied on manual processes for warehouse pick, pack, and ship operations. Data entry errors caused shipping mistakes. Inventory counts were unreliable. The existing system could not integrate with their JD Edwards ERP, creating duplicate data entry and processing delays.
Approach
Designed and developed a full warehouse pick/pack/ship application integrating directly with JD Edwards ERP via Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS). Built real-time inventory tracking with barcode scanning capability. Implemented automated order processing workflows that eliminated manual data entry between the warehouse floor and the ERP system.
